You can ask your bank for cash at home facility in the city lock down situation



Lock-down has been announced in all major cities of the country till 31st March to prevent the transmission of corona virus. If you need cash for any emergency, you can ask your bank for cash to be delivered at home. Big banks like SBI, ICICI, Axis and Kotak are offering this facility to its customers.

According to ICICI Bank’s website, you have to login to the bank’s website for getting cash at home or you can contact customer care for availing this facility. You can avail this facility by calling bank on customer care number from 9 am to 2 pm. You will get the money that you need within two hours of such request. You can ask for cash amounting Rs. 2000 to 2 Lakh which to be delivered at home by your bank. For this, you have to pay a lump sum fee of Rs 50 and a service charge of 18% on this charge. Hence, you will have to pay about Rs 60 extra.

SBI, which has over 40 million customers, also offers cash withdrawal, door-to-door deposit and home deposit under doorstep delivery facility. Currently, this feature is only for senior citizens, handicapped or special enrollment customers. Fee for this facility is Rs. 100 in SBI.  HDFC, the country’s second largest bank, also delivers cash at home. The limit is Rs.25,000/-. The bank charges a fee of Rs 100 to 200 for this. Kotak, Axis and other banks also offer such services with certain conditions.
